Caring for your Holiday Rosemary
- Light
- Place your rosemary cone in a sunny spot. South- or west-facing windows are ideal, with at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
- Watering
- Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.
- Avoid overwatering — rosemary likes its roots slightly dry.
- Make sure the pot has drainage holes, and let any excess water drain away.
- Temperature & Humidity
- Maintain room temperature between 65–85°F (18–29°C).
- Rosemary prefers average indoor humidity; avoid placing it in rooms with extremes of dryness or moisture.
- Feeding
- Fertilize every 4–6 weeks with a balanced organic fertilizer meant for herbs.
- Pruning
- Regularly trim stray branches to maintain the cone shape. Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears.
- Always trim so the base is wider than the top, and check all sides to keep the plant balanced.
- Prune lightly, cutting just above a pair of leaves. Encourage bushy, vertical growth by snipping off shoots that stick out or disrupt the cone shape.
- Rotate your plant every week to ensure even growth on all sides.
- Remove any yellow or dead leaves promptly.
