Caring for your Lemon Cypress

  • Indoors, Lemon Cypress does best when kept cool and in a bright location. Lemon Cypress needs to be watered regularly and checked often in extreme heat or when kept in a pot. Allow the soil to dry in between waterings and then water thoroughly. Drench with water at least once a week to prevent brown needles.
  • Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly during active growth.
  • Outdoors, Lemon Cypress is relatively easy going and can thrive in a variety of soils but does require well drained soil and a sunny spot. During the first season, keep a close eye on soil moisture and water twice weekly.
  • Prune branch tips as needed to maintain the shape and size of your Lemon Cypress.
